For a few hours yesterday I felt like I was in a cowboy and indian movie scene, unfortunately minus the cowboys and indians!
Located just 30 miles north of Bend is the small community called Crooked River Ranch, nestled in the deep and rugged Crooked River Canyon.
I was hired to photograph a piece of land owned by the Trust for Public Land – a national non-profit whose mission is to conserve land for people to enjoy as parks, gardens, and other natural places, ensuring livable communities for generations to come.
The sky was deep blue the air cool and crisp as the Allen Family and I wandered over the property to get the necessary photos. Fortunately the rattle snakes were all sleeping soundly while we roamed around their habitat.
I look forward to coming back in the spring when the sun will be higher in the sky in order light up the canyon fully and getting down to the banks of the river.
