Live with Michael Franti and Spearhead {Bend, Oregon, Band Photographer}.

Musician and humanitarian, Michael Franti, is not only a talented musician but he also knows how to use music to bring about positive change in the world. He and his partner Sara recently created the Do It For The love Foundation . Do It For The Love is a wish-granting organization gifting people who are living with advanced stages of life threatening illnesses live concert experiences and meet-and-greets with their favorite artists.

If you haven’t attended a Michael Franti and Spearhead  concert you certainly are missing out on a high energy show where you will leave beyond upbeat.

I have had the pleasure of photographing three of Michael’s concerts and each time, I not only feel his strong passion for music, but also for life. The most recent concert I photographed was just this week at the Mc Donald Theatre, in Eugene, Oregon. Typically when photographing a well known band you get to only photograph in the pit for the first three songs, so the pressure is on. This last concert I got spoilt and got the opportunity to photograph the entire show. Only downside was I never got to dance with the fans in the crowd.
