I finally decided to go and visit a little farm on the side of the highway that I have admired for many years. I was warmly welcomed when I knocked on the farm house door and asked if I could photograph their new lambs.
I was greeted by the friendly farm dogs as I slipped through the gate into the paddock containing about eighty sheep and lambs. The friendliest of all the animals were the goats. They would nibble my clothing to get my attention and would be satisfied with a friendly rub on the head.
I went into my own world with my camera as I watched and photographed the morning routine of the lambs and their mommies. It is not often you get to see sheep let alone lambs in and around Bend so it was very special having grown up in New Zealand to hang with all these sweet animals.
